What is a Missional Community?
A Missional Community (MC) is a group of 8-12 people who choose to do life together. Think of it as your spiritual family—a place where you belong, no matter where you are in your faith journey. No church background? No problem. Just starting to explore faith? Perfect. Been following Jesus for years? You'll fit right in.
Our MCs are beautifully multi-generational. Young adults, young families, empty-nesters—everyone has a seat at the table, and that diversity makes us richer.
What Happens When We Gather?
Every week for about 90 minutes, MCs meet in someone's home where real life happens:
We share a meal together (because the best conversations happen over food)
We catch up on life (celebrating wins, supporting each other through challenges)
We explore faith together (discussing what God is teaching us, sharing our stories)
We pray for each other (because we all need support)
But it doesn't stop there. Throughout the month, we also:
Get to know our actual neighbors (the people on our streets who God has placed in our lives)
Serve our community (partnering with local schools, churches, and organizations)
Have fun together (because following Jesus should bring joy!)
What Does "Serving" Look Like?
We believe in being a positive presence in our community. That might mean:
Helping a neighbor with yard work or a home repair
Volunteering at local schools
Joining with other churches for community projects
Simply being available when someone has a need
We don't have a rigid program—we respond to the needs God shows us.
Common Questions
"What if I can't make it every week?" Life happens! While weekly gathering is the rhythm, we understand work travel, family obligations, and life's surprises. Come as often as you're able—consistency matters more than perfection.
"When can I join?" Right now! While our groups run in quarterly cycles, you can jump in anytime. We'll help you find the right fit.
"I'm nervous about joining a group where I don't know anyone." That's completely normal! Remember, everyone was new once. These groups are designed to help you be known and know others. It's the best way to move from attending church to actually belonging to a community.
