I’m grateful that God didn’t wait for me to have everything figured out before calling me closer to Him. I didn’t have to be perfect or know all the answers. He met me in my doubts, my fears, and my uncertainty, and showed me that I don’t have to rely on my own strength. After talking with the Watsons I decided to go to Bear Creek Community Church. I started reading the bible, and praying for Jesus to help guide me in my learning. I know I still have many questions but never question that Jesus is my Savior and my Lord.

My Mom told me that God made a way for us to live in His good Kingdom. Jesus is our Savior who made a way for us to be saved from Satan’s bad kingdom. I knew that I wanted to be saved by Jesus.
My favorite Bible verse is John 3:16, it reminds me that God loves me.

Bear Creek started because a small group of families in this part of Collin County wanted the same things you want: real friendships, a place their kids could grow up loved, and a faith that felt alive instead of routine. We know what it's like to be busy, to want community, and not know quite where to find it.

Bear Creek is a non-denominational church in Lavon, Texas for people at every stage of faith. Some of us grew up in church. Some of us are walking in for the first time and still figuring out what we believe. Come as you are, bring your questions, and find people who will actually know your name.

Bear Creek offers kids ministry every Sunday for infants through 5th grade in The Den. Your kids get their own space, their own teaching, and leaders who learn their names and look forward to seeing them. Check-in is quick and secure, so you can settle in and focus on the service.

Bear Creek meets at Community Trails Middle School because we would rather invest in people than in a building. A school gives us room to grow, plenty of parking, and space for kids, all without a mortgage. It also keeps us rooted in the Community ISD neighborhoods we are here to serve. You will find us at 900 Rosewood Dr in Lavon at 10:30 on Sunday mornings.

What does it mean that Bear Creek Community Church is a non-denominational church? Bear Creek Community Church is an autonomous, self-governing church with local leaders who provide oversight and direction to the church. We are affiliated with the Charis Fellowship of Churches, but the fellowship does not have authority over our church. Our partnership with the Charis Fellowship gives us a family of like-minded churches to partner with for ministry and mission. Together with this network of churches, we are able to accomplish more for the expansion of God’s Kingdom.

At Bear Creek Community Church the preaching is always Bible-based and Jesus-centered. We hold a high view of scripture, recognizing it as God’s authoritative and inerrant Word. It provides guidance for our relationship with God and by the power of the Holy Spirit we are transformed by teaching directly from the Bible.
Bear Creek Community Church places a great emphasis on learning the Bible and applying it to our lives. We’re not just interested in knowing God’s Word, we also want to do God’s Word.
