Production Director and Team Leader
Part-Time | 8-10 hrs/week | $250/week (1099) | Lavon, TX
Bear Creek Community Church launches publicly on September 13, 2026, and we are looking for a Production Director and Team Leader who wants to be part of something from the very beginning to help shape the culture and spiritual atmosphere of a brand-new church.
This is a part-time role, but the impact is full-time. Every Sunday, you will lead a team of volunteers, supporting the worship and preaching ministries, helping people find life with Jesus.
Overview
The Production Director plays a vital role in creating an engaging and distraction-free worship experience at Bear Creek Community Church. This part-time leader reports to the Bear Creek Executive Team and builds and leads a volunteer team responsible for the audio, visual, and lighting elements of every weekend service, ensuring that the technical side of worship serves the moment rather than distracting from it.
The Production Director works in close partnership with the Worship Leader and Director of Weekend Worship, collaborating to ensure every technical element supports the overall worship experience. The ideal candidate brings expert-level technical skill, a servant’s heart, and the ability to develop and lead others in a live ministry environment.
You Are
Passionate about Bear Creek’s vision and convinced that excellent technical execution is an act of worship and a ministry in itself.
Technically skilled and experienced with audio, visual, and lighting systems, with the ability to train and develop others in these areas.
Detail-oriented and calm under pressure, able to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly in a live environment.
A clear and consistent communicator who collaborates well with the Worship Team and other ministry teams.
Highly organized, able to manage equipment, volunteers, and schedules with care and consistency.
Excited to serve and eager to bring others along with you.
You Will
Production Leadership
Oversee the set-up and strike of all audio, visual, and lighting equipment used in weekend worship services.
Coordinate and lead volunteers to operate media presentation software, the audio board, lighting, and video recording equipment for all weekend services.
ead Team Huddles before services, aligning your team on the plan and preparing them spiritually and technically for the service ahead.
Collaborate closely with the Worship Leader and Director of Weekend Worship to ensure seamless integration of all technical and musical elements.
Oversee technical production for special events and seasonal services, including Easter and Christmas, coordinating planning and execution across all relevant teams.
Team Development
Recruit and train new production volunteers, clearly communicating expectations, technical requirements, and the heart behind the role.
Schedule volunteers to serve on the Production Team each Sunday, managing rotations with care for each person’s availability and growth.
Maintain regular contact with your team through email, phone, or text. Relational depth helps volunteers feel needed and known.
Identify potential future Team Leaders and Apprentices, partnering with the Worship Leader and Director of Weekend Worship to invest in their development.
Equipment and Administration
Maintain and organize all audio, visual, and lighting equipment, ensuring it is properly operated, stored, and ready for every service.
Monitor the condition of technical systems and communicate maintenance needs or equipment gaps in a timely manner.
Model Bear Creek’s core values in your everyday life, representing the church with integrity both inside and outside our walls.
Qualifications
Expert-level audio technician with hands-on experience in video and lighting systems.
Demonstrated experience in live audio and video production, ideally in a church or live event environment.
A growing disciple of Jesus with a clear testimony of faith.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead, coach, and connect with a diverse volunteer team.
Highly organized with a proven ability to manage equipment, schedules, and details without things falling through the cracks.
A team player who works well with others and thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
The Win
To lead a team that executes technical excellence within every worship service, ensuring audio, visual, and lighting elements create a distraction-free environment where people can encounter God. The win is a production team that is healthy, well-developed, and fully committed to serving Bear Creek’s mission with skill and genuine faith.
